Just removed the silencer ring

Pulling out the snap ring is INSANE. I gave up with the snap ring after 30 min and I started concentrating on the silencer ring itself. I took a BIG FLAT screwdriver and I worked around the silencer ring and started bending it towards me. I then took a pair of pliers and I pulled hard untill SUCCESS it started coming out from the snap ring and right off with the snap ring still in place. I dont see any harm with the snap ring in place b/c thats just impossible for me to take out.
Ill post some vid clips later:

wow... um.. it only took me maybe 5 min with two screw drivers big and small to pry one part of the ring up and then slowly move your way around and presto! better luck next time i guess...

if you decide to take the baffles out of the intake tube post some pics i would like to see the outcome ( it's more time consuming then the snap ring)

from what i've learned there isn't one...the only thing it does is makes your turbo sing prettier songs to you. (in layman's terms it makes it whistle more). there are theories about it giving you higher boost numbers but like i said those are just theories, i haven't seen any proof from anyone. unfortunetly i can't tell you if it raises boost #s b/c i don't have a boost gauge but i can say that, that turbo sure does sing pretty now

if you take off the intake tube ( tube going from turbo to air filter ) look in it! you see black plastic with tiny little holes in it! (bad) nothing in there clear tube ( good ) chisel and hammer work wonderfully! HAVE FUN ! but POST PICS WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT!
