My Jr came with this software version:"Ver 5.03B Data 2.10B".

The MADS site now offers this version:"Ver 5.03D Data 2.11B".

Does anyone know what the changes are?

 

I think the auto trans gear indicator lights on the 03's were'nt lighting up and this latest flash just enables them. Would'nt worry about it unless you have an 03' auto.

 

I have an 03 auto with the Jr and the shift indicator lights are not working.(Old program). Having trouble trying to figure out how to upload newer version. Are you sure that is the only change between the 2 versions? Is there a chance the newer version has the high idle enabled? If not I think that I can live without the shift indicator lights for now.

 

The change is only for 03 HO Autos.

I updated mine before I found out what the change was for.. takes about 5 minutes to setup and 20 minutes to run.. pretty simple setup they have for us to update.

 

All production versions should have the high idle enabled for the autos.....as the software is new, it may be an issue, but i think we would have seen more posts on the issue if it were common....i'd do the upgrade to the latest version...it's so recent after the previous, it's only going to have bug fixes and not any performance changes included....pm bob w with your questions if you're still leary of upgrading.

 

You should have your high idle. Turn the cruise control on, hit set, truck should idle up to 1000/1100 rpm. Hit accel to raise it - decell to lower it.

 

Just went outside and tried again. Still not working.

 

03's dont get the high idle feature.

 

Looks like I'll have to try TSB 18-004-04. Maybe that will get it to work.

 

03's do not have the cruise switch enabled hi idle availible from Dodge or Smarty.
