Re:Software / Cable to check Codes

Actually I was thinking more along the lines on the OBD II software and cable to check vehicle diagnostics. I know it is available, but I was wondering who has used it on an '03 and what kind they used. Also is the software able to clear codes?

Thanks for the reply though!

2003 Dodge Ram uses the DRBIII to read the diagnostic codes and the codes are listed in the Diagnostic Procedures along with troubleshooting flows. You can purchase the Diagnostic Procedure Manual from Dodge. Don't have information on DRBIII unit.

I am putting a permanent PC in my truck. I am also interested in locating the ODB II software and hardware which will allow me to put a nicely formatted diagnostic display on my screen.

Has anyone found this that works with a diesel? Digimoto.com has this setup but they say it doesn't support diesel vehicles.

not sure if this helps, but on my 03 I have been using the Autotap Diagnostic scanner which can be found at www.autotap.com You can set up gauges and graphs to read several different inputs to your laptop.
