II "Bag of Parts" vs. Arson 2 kit
what stage 1 cp3 mod is better the II kit is 350.00 and the Arson kit is 399.00 but besides the money what one would handle better power or are they both pretty much the same, any first hand experience. and how easy/hard are they really to install. any other input is good to.
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
Installation was pretty easy. The outlet port has a little ball in there that can be tricky but not bad just use a dab of grease to keep it from rolling out. I can not imagine much difference between the to kits. The II is keeping up with the 1.8s that I have. I ran the 4.2 with them and it had pleanty of fuel.

The arson kit is more then a lil bit of work.. It comes with a new machined parts.. Not just the fca and stuff.. Plus ya send your whole pump in for about another 400 bucks ya can have it upgraded to a stage 2 so ya figure 800 bucks and you got a stage 2 pump

True, but if you screw up, then you go looking for replacement parts, then you have to mod them too. If you can even get a replacement FCA, last I heard they were on backorder. The FCA is a bit tricky, cut it wrong and you will have a bucking bronco under light throttle, don't get it clean and debris will mess up the pump. Leave a burr and it sticks in the bore, we are talking very small pieces here. The gear pump in no huge ordeal, but the high pressure fitting, noone mods them. A correctly prepared high pressure fitting is worth an extra 2,000 psi. The DIY mod, never even addressed that. Also the torx bit to remove the FCA end cap, has to be the the most uncivilized method, I have ever seen. Better make sure you set the end cap back to the exact depth required too. Some are capable of doing the mod themselves, some are lucky, and some end up having to buy a new CP3. Just like a trip to Vegas, roll the dice....or go with exceedingly proven results. Its your money, spend wisely.
