How many of us have installed cooldown timers, which brand, and what are your impressions?

I have Howards cool down timer and it has worked flawlessly. Just be sure that you solder or secure the fuse jumpers someway because I didn't and some times I will hit a bump hard and start it because it will come on automatically when it get power. Also, every once in a while when I turn on, or off can't remember which,my piaas the voltage change will make it come on. Niether of these things hurt anything is just a surprise when it comes on out of the blue. Had I installed it correctly, soldered the fuse taps, I feel I wouldn't have this problem and am very pleased with the performance of the product. Besides, it is the least expensive unit you will find and it can be ordred on this site so if you have a problem you know where to hunt down the answer.

I've got Sp diesel's shutdown timer. It's nice because you just shut off the truck and it does its job automatically. Don't have to set it everytime. Plus you can adjust the time from a few seconds to like 10 minutes. Nice if you want to run into somewhere, just crank the ****, set the parking brake, remove keys. Truck will stay running. If someone gets in your truck and touches the brake pedal, truck shuts off. Nice...

I have a Viper Remote Starter that has the cool down feature built into it....you set the emergency brake and push a button on the remote then turn the key off and it does it's thing...works great...also nice to get out, with keys, to pick something up and the truck stays running for a few minutes.

TST PowerMaxCR R49 with Turbo Cool Down Timer. Set EGT or Time in 1/10 of minute. Works great, use it a lot more than I thought I would. Extra 200rwhp works fine too.

Well, I bought the TST CR 49 for the power and the added cool down features. It doesn't work but TST is working through it with me. It will work and that's what I plan on using.

I've got howards cool down timer and I love it. Very simple to install, very easy to adjust, and pretty cool to watch people's faces when I get out of the truck and leave it running and then it turns itself off.
