Question Cooldown Timers..............

Anyone know if Howard Vanfleet is still making the Cooldown timers?? I want to buy one, keep sending him Emails, but no replies.........

Thanks, phox. The reason I wanted to get a hold of Harold, was to see if he can add one more switch to the circut to allow indefinite run (with high idle set.) I think it will be an easy mod for him, but..........

BD Diesel has come out with cool down timmers they also have one that works off your pyro. The engine will shut down when the pyro reachs 300 degress.

Thanks for the info on the BD timer. Nearly twice the cost tho and I don't think I could add the "indefinite run" switch to that one........

Harold travels quite a bit and doesn't take a computer with him.
Call him at 208-459-7849 it will patch though to his cell if he's on the road

Depends on who you listen to.
Cummins says just shut it off with no cool down unless you've been pulling a load.
I've been following their advice for over 400k without a problem.

I've been doing the same thing. I'll usually let mine cool down for about 20 seconds before shutting down. No issues. If I'm towing, then I'll let it go five minutes before I shut down. I've also had no problems.
