Wonder why they told you to go with the 64? Thats what i wanted and II told me to go with the 62 super phatshaft? HMM? Do you tow anything with your truck? Maybe that would be it.

 

no I dont tow anything, and I didnt tell them that I do tow anything. Thats why I was wondering why they told me that and seem to have told everyone else so much good stuff about the silver62

 

here it is. Auto, go with 62 or 64/12 for towing. Manual 66 is fine. Dont know about the sled puller but the prostreet gives me NO surging at any rpm's. If u tow, maybe go smaller. I've heard with a manual, a 64 is no different than a 66.

 

I agree with 35" 05' - That is exactly how I would decide.

 

well then my only ? is now what is the difference between the 62/12 and the 64/12?

 

64 will be a bit laggier and more prone to surging under a heavy load than that 62.

64 will move more air than the 62 though.
