Much of that is aerodynamic drag designed into the body shape to promote significant downforce at speed; the Formula-type cars have very high Cds due to that.

It isn't a question of not accepting it so much as the basic laws of physics not allowing it... no free lunch, right?
More than likely, the Jeep makes more power than advertised or doesn't scoot as fast as some claim.

Yes I understand this....nonetheless, .39 is pretty good for that jeep

Well I can attest too the fact that the jeep moves....wouldn't suprise me if the new 6.1L Hemi is a throwback too the older hemi's, just not as drastic....say it makes 420, but actually pushing 460's

One website I was reading saying it is speed limited to 152 but can get a special version my guess is for europe that is not speed limited and would pull out a additional 15 mph to make it just faster than the porche cayenne turbo that has a top speed of 165 to make the jeep the fastest suv. When the jeep guys go for a title they go after it hard and want there claims to hold true.

I have a friend that has a crysler 300 SRT-8 and have been 178mph in it! I don't think I will ever do it again.

I mean to put in diffrent terms a 02 chevy camaro has a cd or .34 very similar to the jeep, the camaro puts out 325 horsepower and they will run 155 to 160. The jeep has a hundred more hp if it only has what jeep claims but looking at some of the dyno numbers i would say they are rated on the mild side. THere is not a big weight diffrence between the 2. I think its possible to see the 170 mark but not above that without mods if it is not computer limited. Either way though that is hauling butt in a suv.

If the Porche has a top speed of 165mph I dont see why a GC couldnt do the same with a few basic mods.

What do SRT8's put down on the dyno whp?

This is the first time ive heard of them de-rating the factory HP. What do make at the crank?

Ive seen a few vids on youtube of srt8's w/ a 100hp shot of no2 and they definetly GET IT.

100 shot should be plenty for 165mph especially if the the 300's at doing 175mph stock
