Just got the quad commander and wondered what you guys with 6 speeds do with the transmission temp wire? And is there a consesus yet on whether to leave the engine ideling while drilling the egt probe hole or not? Thanks.

don't know about the trans temp. But to do the EGT remove the pass side inner fender liner, coat the drill bit flutes with lots of grease and drill, then coat the tap with lots of grease and tap. Piece of cake.

Leave the engine idling just like the instructions say! I have over 10K on my install with 0 troubles. I went a little extra and taped my tailpipe too. Put a small X in the middle of the tape to let out some exhaust, but the rest helped build backpressure to help blow any chips out. Take it nice and slow, and you'll be fine.

On a buddy's '03 we just zip tied the tranny temp up and out of the way. I've seen and drilled two different exhaust manifolds for egt and did it with the engine running with a greased bit, no problems at all.

Works very well with the engine running but wear some glasses cause I had shavings shooting all over the place while I was drilling. Pilot hole helps tremendously and you can never use too much grease, piece of cake. If you tow a lot the sensor in the rear end is worth mentioning.

Turning on the exhaust brake would be like duct taping the tailpipe. Would this be advised to help get the shavings out?

Definately! That would help, but like said above, wear safety glasses cause the chips do blow all over! I take that for granted sometimes cause I wear them almost always.
