guage wireing?
ok before I use a test probe to find the feed off of a key circiut and also a dimmer light circiut I do not want to put holes in the wires for this .so I have a 2003 4x4 quad cab s/o motor does anybody know the color wires to use and where thanks kully

For a keyed circuit I went to the fuse box. For the dimmer I pulled the switch and it was an orange wire with a grey stripe I think. It was toward the bottom of the switch. I just poked them with a tester until I found the right one.

pin # 6 on the back of the headlight switch [for 2003-2005]..
on 2003, the color is violet/white tracer
on 2004 & 2005, the color is orange/brown tracer
on 2006, the pin has change to #2 and the color is orange/brown tracer
verify the pin before splicing the wires, as on 04/05/06 there are wires of the same color in pins next to each other
