Goerend or HTS Tranny Opinions

Hey guys I know this has more than likely been beaten to death but I have an HTS or a Goerend dealer in the local area and trying to figure out which way to go. I know I'll go with a Goerend TC but as far as the tranny itself goes who do yall prefer and reasons for it if you don't mind. Thanks

Probably not going to find too many people who have had both of them, and thats really the only opinion that should matter to you. Both companies have very good reputations and I think you'll be happy with either of them.

I dont have either, but my parts are being bought from Goerend. I think both companys are great. They're both more than willing to help you out when you need it. The reason I would choose Goerend over HTS is warranty. Lifetime on the TC and 100K on the trany. I've heard that HTS stands behind their product as well, but I dont think their warranty is as good. With any luck you wont have to worry about a warranty though.

Dave Goerend all the way! He more than stands behind his products. I've had nothing but good experiences with him.

Dave Goerend- I agree, he is the most knowledgeable when it comes to that stuff. I had one put in this last spring, have roughly 10,000 miles on my truck with it. It is a good investment. He talks to know, to understand what you are exactly going to do with your truck. I have a buddy that was having problems went down to his shop in Iowa, he took it out for a test drive, brought it back in the shop, opened everything up found some shavings from the last tranny took the new one out, cleaned it all up, went over everything, installed it, took it back out and good as new. He has a really good warranty with his products. They fabricate there own TC there in shop. He stands by his work. He will explain to you why something failed, and what could have prevented it. I would by another tranny from him if I had another truck. So far four of my buddies all have them, and we all love them. He knows his stuff. I just talked to him earlier tonight just to see what was up.

Both are top notch.

Really it boils down to what you want the transmission to do.

High performance, racing, high HP, ect, go HTS.

Mild performance, towing, DD, ect, either will be great.

I plan on going with Goerend when the time comes. A friend of mine has had a few problems with his HTS and I do not want go down the same road as him. Plus, Goerend has a much better warranty than HTS.
