gauges

I'm looking for some guages, I like the dash mounted style. I usually see three, trans, egt, and boost. I am not running any mods yet, it's all about the $$$$, but I'm saving. Do I need more gauges than this? I'm planning to eventually BOMB this out in time, one piece at a time, but want to get the supporting equipment first. Any suggestions on good gauges? I'm thinking a white face, like the stock gauges on the truck. Or are digital ones better?

If you plan on bombing like you say you will also need a rail pressure guage, mine is on the way.

I too have isspros and I am very happy with the look.

Agreeing with what was said and you need a fuel pressure guage... and it'd be nice to moniter your "TRUE" oil pressure also... stock oil guage is a joke...

Looks like isspros are the way to go... know what I'm talking about with the guage set-up, on the dash as apposed to the A-pillar? I've only seen those with 3 gauges so far.

I have the 3-gauges on the A-Pillar (Autometer Cobalt Series) and I think they look great.

I have a question. Are you able to replace the stock gauges with aftermarket ones in the OEM gauge cluster? For example, changing the oil pressure gauge to a real one as suggested but keeping it in the OEM location ??

I am running autometer phantom guages, match up real nice with the stock guages. At the moment I am running boost, tranny temp, and pyro. Coming soon fuel pressure, and when I can find it a rail pressure guage (which I am finding to be hard to locate). I am running 2 on the steering column and 1 and the attitude on the pillar.

This is how I mounted 5 aftermarket gauges without disturbing any of the factory trim...

The fuel pressure gauge is mounted on the cowl, between the wipers.

DWiggs, that's gonna require some serious fabrication... I'm sure it can be done, but you're talking totally custom setup.

XLR8R - that is one sweet setup... you make that yourself?

I have the isspros now, before I had the autometers. I actually like the autometers better, my pyrometer gauge on the isspros doesn't light up at night like the other two gauges, its about half as bright. Also one other thing I like about the autometer is there is no box to hook up with the pyrometer, it is purely mechanical.

XLR8R, that is a nice setup. I had not really thought of going custom, but now my creative juices are fired up.

Here's a pic of my in-dash ISSPRO gauges. You have a 2004 so you can use the same setup. It's an Autometer cubby hole 3 gauge mount with ISSPRO gauges. They fit pretty well, except I had to put a couple of spacers in the last gauge mount so it'd look right.
