Bridgestone Tire Question

I had a question about Bridgestone tires. I am interested in getting the M729 in a 295/60 becaus eit seems to be the only tire available in that size that have deep lugs. THe only problem is, is that is seems to only be offered in Australia and South Africa. Do you think this matters? It is still designed for a 22.5" rim. I assume I should just be able to order them and have them ship them here. Does this sound right?

I'm sure it's no problem to buy them, but to run them legally on the street they need to be DOT-certified, which they may well be...

You would think if they were heavy truck tires, they would be. I wonder how you find that out. I assume that, like many things, cops wouldn't exactly be looking to see if my tires were "DOT approved".

True - they'll be goggle-eyed at the radar detector...

Therein lies the rub: need DOT certs, "just in case"

DWiggs - I'm sure the manufacturer or seller can answer this for you.

I wouldn't hesitate to run quality parts like that, DOT or not.
