Bridgestone Duravis R500 HD Tire

Has anyone tried these or seen them yet? I am getting ready to buy new tires this week on my dually and I an leaning towards these. From what I have read they sound like a pretty heavy duty tire that would last. I even read on one website that you could recap them. Just getting some ideas before I drop down between 1200-1500 for new tires.

Okay since this tire is new and no one has probably tried it out yet. What would you all recommend........Bridgestone or Michelin? A lot of the tire places are telling me I will go thru two sets of a lot of brands compared to one set of the michelins. I just want to get the most for my money. Dang these tires are expensive. 1450 for michelins installed and that is the LTX M/S 235/80/17. They told me to sit down before he gave me the price

I ran the Michelin LTX's on my Ford for years and loved them. The minimum mileage I got out of them was 80,000 miles. The only down side for me was that they were a poor off-road tire, especially in wet grass. If they made them in the size I wanted, I would have them on my Dodge.

My buddy has the Duravis 773 on his 2500HD with Duramax. Hes actually had two sets,he buys them from the Chevy dealer as takeoffs.

He really like them, they have pretty good traction for being tread on the "mild" side. He got over 50K on the first set.

I know they're not the exact tire you're looking at,but the Duravis line seems to be pretty good.

Had a pair of Bridgestones on my '94 Chevy 4x4 for 110,000 miles. Held up great. Funny thing was..remember the "scare" they had with the Ford Explorer in the late 90's? Well someone dumped these tires thinking they were crap, but weren't the same size that were "recalled"..I scored for $40/tire, mounted and balanced! Right place ..right time. They still had the rubber **** on the tread. Bridgestones are decent.

There's a guy, Me , selling a bunch of BFG Rugged Trail 265s in the classifieds here. I was planning on putting them on my dually but I traded it in instead. They are a whole lot less than the numbers you are looking at.......
