If planning for bombing in the future I would recommend installing gauges first. Boost and EGT gauge is nice to have even with a stock engine.

If you're not planning on bombing just yet, the first thing I'd do is to get that bed sprayed!! Both my dad and myself have used Line-X on 5 different trucks and love it. I would recommend it.

I had the bottom of my truck covered in 3m clear film (from the door strips down to the pinch seam) and it works great, no rock chips for me excpet on the tail gate , but I think I am getting them when pulling a trailer and the rocks are bouncing off the front of it.

As for power enhancements, get the SRT-10 pillar and a EGT gage at least... If you pick your gauge correctly (to match the rest of the gauges) then it will be a very clean "factory looking" set up. Then let the box's fly... Alot like the Edge products, they soured me a while back with thier constant 305/555 product date slides so when I want to take the "timing/duration power plunge" it will be a TST for me.... Quad also looks like he has some very promising electronics just about to come out with all the bells and whistles...

Have fun with your new ride...
Dave

I agree with the gauges (egt and boost)... It's fairly inexpensive, will be useful in the future, and it's good to know what your engine's doing in particular situations, even if it is still stock (for now, it's usually only a matter of time).

Gauges will not void your warranty. The dealer may install them for you, but it will be a pretty penny. It really isn't hard to do, just take your time and follow the instructions.

Just do a search. You will find plenty of info.

Start with getting more air in and out before moving on to a fueling box.
