Finally ordered injectors
Finally ordered injectors
Well after a few years of saying I was going to do it I finally did. Ordered a set of 100hp injectors from Scheid Diesel. Watched some vids on removal and install so it looks like not all that bad of a job.
Does anyone know exactly what size sockets I need and torque specs for what bolts are put back in? I think I need a 24mm for the tube nuts torq to 15 lbs. 8mm for injector bolts to 80in lbs. Am I missing anything? thanks

So I got them installed and when I started up I got p0193 high rail pressure code. Cleared it about 4 times and it stayed gone finally. Only issue now is it still idles rough but runs fine down the road. Any suggestions on what I might look for?
Ok seem to have that all worked out and the idle has smoothed out quite a bit. Now I just have a problem with egt's getting to hot. Tried getting into it a little tonight and egt's hit 1500-1600 deg. Was told these injectors were a good fit for my setup. Do I need to back my program down and work my way up slowly until my egt's are managable? Running Smarty tnt/r level 7.

Sir:
I had a 2006 Dodge CTD CR with a Smarty TNT/R "stacked" with a TST PM 3 and a Schwitzer S-300 Turbo BUT I had stock injectors. I could NEVER run that truck above Level 4 on the Smarty due to high EGT's. I would suggest running your Smarty on a lower level and keep it on the EVEN numbers where you don't have alot of timing added.
Finally, if you want to keep the power at where it is, then try thinking about adding a water injection system. I have a system on my 1996 Dodge CTD drag truck and they work very well to keep EGT's down Sir.
