FCA question?

My question is would a stuck FCA cause an engine code to come on? Just wondering is I have one that is sticking and causing poor throttle responce once in a while.

Thanks

Im not sure if it will throw codes but I spent plenty of time deburring mine and I still have a little flutter. I suppose has anybody noticed a rise in temperatue. I used to never see over 1250* and now at top end I get 1400*.

I modded my FCA and the Gear housing with the SC on performance mine gets hot quick. It would go way over 1450* if I let it. More fuel = More heat.

it should throw a code for the FCA if it is sticking but nothing is a guarantee with these computer controlled beasts...IIRC Will's did throw a code but I forgot the number.....

You really want more air? I've got a way to do much more air than I have.

I had an FCA malfunctioning causing actual rail p. to be a little higher 3-10 thousand more, than demanded rail p. and it caused the 0148 code. So if the FCA is malfunctioning then yes it should cause a code. But the CEL did not light up the code was only noted when I checked for codes. Jay
