He told me I still wouldneed a tranny and Turbo to get to the 11 sec mark. If I wanted the tranny and turbo I would be looking at close to 20g whihc is not going to happen now. I found another shop in Lake Elsinor that is going to take a look at it.

I did notice none of the dodge guys like Banks stuff. But he does do in house install stuff, they have the fastest pickup on the planet, and that oc place could have been putting banks stuff in it anyway for all we know.

Not trying to speak for anyone else, but we dont mean any of it to sound like bashing, its just us being angry FOR you. Its hard to believe that shops still take advantage of people as they do and sometimes get away with it. Weve all had something we paid more than we should have, or something we didnt need, etc. Were just looking out for other people, and the more attention brought to it, maybe it will help out the next guy along the line. Besides any questions, post up, plenty of guys on here willing to help...

No, but he asked about any other diesel performance shops in Orange County. I personally just bought a xzt chip about 4 hours ago, so I am not rolling any banks stuff either.

I agree totally.

I would like to call this shop on two different occasions. The first time I will call and appear as my normal self, well informed on the cost of parts and labor. Then I will wait a week or two and call back and tell them I just bought a new truck and I have no clue about diesels, no clue how much it costs and I just know they are expensive...etc....see if the prices go way up with the uninformed diesel owner....then I will see how much integrity they have.
I'm going to have agood long talk with this guy and see if he comes around. I have talked to legal and since he gave me three different invoices through out thie process in which non of figures match exactly they will pay the diffenence not to metion the stink I'm going to throw on his shop.
I listed all the part and prices on a different thread check um out that was the final invoice.

What thread, copy and paste a linky.

Again, sorry to hear about your troubles... They probably saw a "rich boy" come in and figured they could screw you. I've had this happen to me a couple times once on the Mustang, got a lot of money sank into that car. Anyway I caught it in time thankfully and was willing to make a deal since they wanted to start "charging" me extra since they under invoiced. The other time was a laugh and no thank you, I guess they figured I'm wasn't a grease monkey since i walked in wearing a suit after work .

Banks has or had the fastest in top speed....but they ain't got much for the 1/4 mile.....last time I saw that Banks "fastest" truck run it did a 12.5....far off of 10's and 9's other trucks have run.

Anyhow back on topic I would definitely be looking into legal services. They should refund you some money, at least $10-20k. Those guys threw one heck of a party when you pulled out.

Wow Laguna - I know Huntington Beach is pricey (when I was there the year before last shop labor was ~ $100/hr ), but I haven't heard of a hose-job this bad since F**d brought the 6.0 to market...

Your situation is really aggravating because these overpriced rip-off artists make it harder for the rest of us who love diesel performance and are just trying making a living at it!
