Ok, you got me on the edge of my seat now. So what exact parts did they add to your truck?

For 40 grand you can have a 10 sec truck, with some cash left over. WoW

Well, I feel bad for you. They certainly charged you top dollar, but I'm sure you can get it all fixed up at another shop.

FWIW there is a guy on here (actually lives close to me) that is making something like 1200hp to the wheels... He owns a shop. I raced him once on the freeway in my Hemi it was scary fast and my Hemi wasn't a slouch.

If someone gave me a bill for $47k usd and that didn't include a tranny or any turbo and they told you it would make 11sec....I either walk away and give them the truck and let them sue you for the money or sue them for fraud and negligence....and I don't sue.... 10k internal engine mods+ 15k for big fuel and big twins gives you an 1000hp engine, another 10k gives you a fully built billet tranny with a bomb proof drive line, and front locker. Holy Crap....even Gale Banks would feel guilty about taking that much money from ya. ks

After whatching some videos on the internet of some serious dodges running into the 11's in the 1/4 I decided that is what I want. I searched out a compnay in Orange county that said they could do it. So I took my truck to OC diesel in Hunington Beach Ca. I was origanly quoted about 20k do to some pretty serious mods including a turbo ,wastegate, intercooler, cp3 pump, injectors, Chip, basicaly everything except the tranny to make some serious HP. I took my truck in and about a month went by and I decided to do some additional mods, like a lift and tires, stacks and I guess a more aggressive cp3 and turbo. Whelp I get a estimate for and additional 40g's and obvioulsy I about died. We got the price down to about 47k without the turbo or trans so I couldnt even use the HP. I had the truck for a week and it's back at the shop beacue it got super hot and broke. I'm not sure of the new damage but is this what I should expect?
And people make fun of me living in West By God Virginia....When I read this stuff it makes me happy that i live in a state that I can do exactly what you did for pennies on the dollar.... Oh yea barefoot hillbilly riding in a beast of a truck

Wow, it is time to hire a lawyer, seriously.

Good luck!!
I agree totally.

I would like to call this shop on two different occasions. The first time I will call and appear as my normal self, well informed on the cost of parts and labor. Then I will wait a week or two and call back and tell them I just bought a new truck and I have no clue about diesels, no clue how much it costs and I just know they are expensive...etc....see if the prices go way up with the uninformed diesel owner....then I will see how much integrity they have.

Tell ya what... give me 5k for the turbo and..

just kidding... You can get the highest priced ATS tranny, which is possibly the highest priced built tranny, installed by a good shop for less than 7k and average good turbo is about 1500 give or take depending on what you want/get.

The best thing you can get for your money right now? Education about your truck... a lot of that you can get here for free (priceless)
i HEAR YA LESSON LEARNED... THANKS FOR THE ADVICE

I am sorry to hear your story and really hate that people take advantage of other people in that way. I hope you get your money's worth out of that shop. I feel sure that you have already gotten some very good advise here and if you stick around I am sure these guys here will get you pointed in the right direction to get your "11 Second Truck" that you started out wanting.

Best of luck!
