I've ran the Edge juice for two years now with no problems, have the hot unlock and turbo timer, with a set of gauges and flexability of power levels, and with all the safety features I like mine quite a lot, yet if I had nothing and wanted the best programmer the Smarty hands down.

Buddy has an 08 with the EDGE

You will be fine as long you don't really beat the hell out of it.

He is on his 3rd torque converter in 8000 or so miles. He has only smoked the two of them because someone has challenged him to race and he does a boosted 4wd launch. Converter protests!

As long you don't do that you should be fine. He beats the hell out of it the rest time and hasn't had any problems.

He picked up about 2-3 mpg by taking out the particulate filter and cat. Running stock muffler and resonator(its a mega cab).

with Attitude you have alarms after you preset you set for EGT, temp, ETC, so no you do not have to look at the gauges, and also the edge has the safety bulid in so it auto changes back to factory or above to keep from hurting your Bid D,
