just installed my comp and tapped the wire week ago.i was just wondering where people were setting there boxes.just driving around heat doesnt seam to be an issue.can the box be switched on the fly???yesterday the truck seemed to stall for a second when i turned it on going down the freeway?what about letting the truck warm up before using???

 

i usually am on 2x5 most of the time, get enuff soot, but you dont use as much fuel.on long drives use levels 1 & 2 sub levels 1-3. You can change on the fly but i dont do it under acceleration because i had it do the stutter your takin about. thats just from it instantly changing the timing and fueling and it takes a sec for you engine to catch up. As for warmin up you should always warm the truck regardless. I once its warm give er heck!.

 

I have switched my box on at wide open throttle to 5x5. I was caught off gaurd by a ford as he started racing. He said my truck looked like it jumped out of its skin. I wont do that again ...but WOW what a kick in the a$$ it is. The truck just launched and started to burn rubber and all that cool stuff. If you chk my gallery there is a pic of where my comp is. I think it is recommended in the instructions to put it there. I think?

 

I always seem to get the best performance around 3 X 3 and when pulling I just always turn it off. But in saying that I also have a habit of turning it up and down depending on how big a smart *** the person next to me is being. I think every truck has it's differant sweet spot on these things though, so don't be afraid to experiment.
