Edge Juice/Rail Pressure Issues

Trying to trouble shoot an issue with my HOT juice.. on level 5, or the highest level, it will stumble immediately and set a 2146 (I believe.. injector bank 1 code). It will clear up if I let off and wait 5-10 secs. I did some research and saw some people with similar issues, but no concrete solution.

Called Edge, who I am usually happy with, and they said low fuel pressure and/or bad elec connection. If there is a bad connection, I don't see it, double and triple checked everything. Fuel pressure is 13-15 WOT, 16 at idle.. Walbro kit.

For giggles, pulled rail pressure banjo off and noticed fuel in the area. Started the truck up and at idle it was coming out of the banjo area pretty good. Bad rail valve? The truck has been a little hard to start lately, and idles rough at times. If I was to do something about the rail valve, should I cap it, buy a new valve, or what is everybody doing now? I don't want to drop $450 on a new valve! That's a rip. Is capping bad? The Juice doesn't add a lot of pressure, or so I thought. I probably popped it a few times running stacks in the past.

Thanks!

Has anybody who capped their rail had issues with doing so? Side effects?

Rail cap----$67 bucks from FTE
New Vavle from Dodge----$300-400

I have the same problem and ordered a rail cap that should be in tomorrow. If you cap it It would be wise to invest in a rail pressure gauge, or dont hot rod/tow heavy too much.

Personaly, I think a $67 cap and $150 or so rp gauge is much better than a new valve.

You could also just tap the banjo and stick a plug in it, but I've been reading about folks having issues with it sealing right and causing noises (the fuel flowing past the threads).

What does the juice do to rail pressure? I had a juice on my truck from previous owner but no rail pressure gauge, should I be worried?

I had a hot edge in place of the smarty, but with all the same mods listed in my sig below... the edge was just not giving me any rail pressure. I had my RP drop to 12k at wot... now with the smarty, I can adjust my RP and it stays up.

I can't help you with the rail issue, but I do know that if you keep the edge, you might want to run a pressure box with it.

What is your rail pressure? You have plenty of low pressure, but not enough high pressure. The ECM is limiting your RP, and the edge does not effect that. When you see these high egt's, in this case, it's from the lack of pressure at the rail. I've been there.

This vid shows my point. Even with 50 lbs of boost, I was screaming towards 1500*, and I was not even close to 60 mph... I know it's hard to see, but my RP got down to 12k at one point.

You need to stop running your truck to the point that it cuts off, or you will have some serious damage to the tune of melted pistons, broken/burnt valves... An MP8 is not enough. Get a RP gauge. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but I would hate to see any thing bad happen to your truck.

If your talking about the Juice on your 06 then no. Then Edge will only draw down your LP (lift Pump) The Edge does not apply pressure, only timming, boost fooling and duration. If you start adding more fueling in the future a rp gauge wouldn't hurt
