Edge Juice for 305/555

Will be out in ONE MORE MONTH

In all seriousness though, I got a call a few days ago from someone at Edge, saying that the 305 juice beta version will be available at the end of this week for testing, and wondering if I was interested - due to signing up on the beta area of their site LAST NOVEMBER lol. In any case I was surprised that I haven't seen any postings on this yet.... has anyone else gotten a call?

The Juice (at least on 600's) is timing/duration correct?

I did -- But its the "baby" juice (100hp). But I am still doing it to ease my mind and play with the fancy attitude controller, and it gives me time to send my TST in for a TWINS flash

Yes it's timing/duration only for the 600's.

Well.... phooey. I haven't got a call from them yet.

That's good news that it's moving to beta. I think this is the box I've been waiting for.

I was one of the many people that waited and waited and then got tired of waiting and got the quadzilla xzillaraider. It is fantastic and I have no complaints, although the hot juice is interesting. I was so personally fed up with the way edge put us off for so long that I wasn't sure I really wanted to try one or not.

How do folks feel pressure + timing does against duration+timing as far as longevity or stress on the engine is concerned? We know high rail pressures can be rough on the injectors, but I wonder what the timing and duration does to the internals...

Joel, do you have gauges? It's not that likely anyone will be asked to beta test for any company without them. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but you can't really provide that good of feedback without them.

Lightman,

I have been in touch with Edge on a pretty regular basis, and there is a little surprise in the Juice with Attitude for the 555! It will include pressure! So you will have timing, duration and pressure. They have restricted the HP on the standard 555 Juice because of the weakness of the stock turbo. I think, this is my opinion, that the Hot Juice for the 555 will produce more that 180 HP because of the pressure. But only time will tell.

In my discussions with Edge I recommended/asked that they forget about the pressure in the Juice. If we wanted pressure we could just stack the EZ. Their response was that the way they developed the 03/04 Juice will not allow for a stack.

Hopefully the pressure is minimal.

No, I don't have any yet. But I thought the A2 had the guage functions built into it.

This is not good news. I did not want a box with pressure. If i wanted pressure later I would just stack it. The 305/555 box won't allow for a stack?? What kind of bull is that? If anything our trucks should be less complicated to program than the 600's.

So whats next??? They will probably de-rate the box to 80hp because of the "stock" turbo. Isn't that why there are many levels of HP to choose from? If I dont want to overburden my turbo I will turn the box down. I dont need edge making the box safe for a stock turbo. What if I upgrade to a better turbo? Then what good is a box that is safe for stock turbo's?

I guess they just want to keep losing customers. I should have got the TST a long time ago, If this new box can not be stacked and it comes with pressure along with timing and duration - I will be shopping elewhere.

RANT over!

My understanding is, with the pressure it solved some of the issue's they were having with just timing and duration. I didn't ask, but maybe the pressure is adjustable, and you can shut it off. However that doesn't seem right if the added it to solve other issues.

I do know that Edge originally told me with the initial beta box Juice is not to run the EZ above level 2. So Edge is really conservative with the use of pressure. According to DonM, level 2 is not enough to hurt injectors.
