Edge EZ or Bully Dog Power Pup
I was wondering which would be the best, Edge EZ or Bully Dog Power Pup? I seen a Dyno on the Edge EZ and it showed most of it's torque gains at higher rpm's 2500-2900. I couldn't find anything on the power pup and it just tells horsepower ratings. I would like to have most of my torque at 1600-2500. I pull a 8K pound 5th wheel camper and at 70mph my truck is running about 2100 rpm's. I live in the mountians, so there is some pretty big hills to climb. My Dad owns a Powerstroke so I don't want to be out done. Which product do you guys think would be the best for my driving? What would be the highest setting I could safely run my truck on? Or if anyone knows anything better let me know.

Here's some pretty direct comparison results from identicle '03 H.O 6-speed trucks, one running the EZ and one running the Pup... Both trucks have Scotty III intake and 4" exhaust, 35" BFG tires, and cruise was set at 65MPH.
Pulling Jeep's on flatbed trailers, loaded weight within a few hundred pounds (~5000), the trucks ran neck and neck up the hills. The EZ was on Level 3 and the Pup was in "Tow" mode. There was one good grade where the truck with the Pup was pulling faster, but EGT's were also climing upwards of 1225... The truck with the EZ was still under 1150... This may be due to the cooling brought about by the extra boost from the elbow that comes with the EZ, but I'm not sure?? At any rate, for the most part, these two trucks were identicle pulling power-wise. Economy, however, is where the Pup seems to make the difference. For the same trip, ~400 miles, the truck with the Pup was almost 2MPG better.
Hope this helps?

Two entirely difference products. Like comparing apples to oranges. EZ is pressure only whereas power pup is mostly duration with a small amount of pressure. Right guys?? You will see a lot of EZ's stacked with power pups though.

The difference in mileage between the two is coming mostly from the Pup's altering of the timing. The power pup is going to be a better value (horsepower per dollar) than the EZ. Plus the pup gives you some room to grow if turbo and injector mods are in the picture.
But they are both good products, i dont think you will be disappointed with either.

StevenB05 I wouldn't limit yourself to only those two options. If you like edge, the Juice w/Attitude is much nicer than the EZ. Otherwise there are some nice in cab adjustable boxes out there like TST, Quadzilla, etc. The pup is nice that it has three levels, and is way more powerful than the EZ, however you can't change levels on the fly with either.
