Edge EZ

Ok, I will probably regret getting the ez for many reasons, and I can't wait to hear what you guys say.

I got the ez and installed it, had a great time, mostly cruise in level 1 or 2 just because I am a freak about my truck. Of course I played around with it in level three but never really constantly drove with it.

Now my question is, how bad should my mileage be now, I know I have always had a heavy foot, but it seems to be pretty bad after that box? I have 37's on there so it is still hard to get any mileage w/o the box.
So basically, will I see any improvements on stock with the ez depending on my driving habits? Anyone got any testimonials.
Oh, I got an auto too.

Thanks, Taylor

The EZ does give a good shot of power and it makes the truck more drivable. If you don't have gauges I would recomend getting some. The EZ should help your mileage once you get over the fun factor.

Just put the EZ on mine a couple of weeks ago. Nabbed anywhere between 1 and 2 mpg, but that was due to the associated right foot syndrome after adding fun stuff.

I definitely agree about the gauges.

My original EZ on level 4 or 5 dropped my mileage almost 2 points while the overhead showed an increase. I haven't checked since I put another EZ on the truck but I would expect almost the same. ....

I have my EZ set to level 2 and I lost a little over 1mpg for around town driving for my first tank with the box. But I attribute some of that lost mpg from a heavy right foot testing the new found power. A couple of 0-100+mph runs and driving it like I stole it.
With this tank I'm driving in grandma mode. My guess it's a wash if you don't push it to hard.

I just got back from a round trip towing a 8'x8'x22' enclosed car hauler with a Cobra inside. Even fighting heavy winds and keeping the speed to around 65mph my mileage was right at 12mpg. Guess not to bad for those type conditions.

I was towing my trailer fully loaded at about 12,000lbs last year. I had a Ford diesel guy in the truck with me and I made sure he saw the overhead which was reading 15mpg!! I didn't tell him how much it was off due to the EZ!! He's probably still telling people about that mileage not to mention the fact that it pulled the trailer ridiculously easily!!!
