S & B Air Intake

Does anybody have a S&B air intake on a 2003-2006. There web site says you get a flow increase of 39.2% and the filtration is very close to stock at a rate of 99.33 compared to stock of 99.69 ?

I have one I just recently installed. I was a little leary about the filter itself. It appears however that they are about to released Independent testing against the AFE proguard 7. You must use the bottom elbow of your stock setup. I liked that idea because I get to use my Turbo Air Guide (TAG). I've been using my AEM dryflow filter in place of the S& B Filter. Once the report comes out I'll probably switch back to S&B filter. I Also added the PSMBUICK cold air kit yesterday to the S&B Box. That seems to cool things down further. You can see my pictures in my gallery. You'll notice the rubber piece between the box and fender. I used that to cover the gap that was cause by me using the larger "dry" filter (Dryflow). I own the Scotty III and the BHAF and the AEM. I like this setup the best....so far.

I have had one on the truck for a few months and like it. I can't really say if I gained anything from it (other than turbo whistle ) because I added other stuff at the same time.

I like mine, I actually like the fact it uses the stock lower boot. I've seen numerous posts on here about another brand tearing and melting boots, doesn't matter how good of a filter you have if the boot is ripped.

I am thinking about getting one also. I like the idea of keeping the air intake in fenderwell. Looks like more cool air = smaller molecules which mean more volume it can intake for a little more HP. Thats my theory and im sticking to it.

For you guys that are running the S&B Intake can you tell me if it will work with a homemade torque tube? Does the top piece go over the middle section like the stock elbow? I have been thinking about getting this setup but have replaced the stock baffle section with a piece of 5 1/2" aluminum tubing. I don't want to order one and find out it won't work.
