Crossover toolbox opinions

Lets hear em'...
I'm going to get a single lid, preferably deep, but haven't decided if I want black or natural...
Have had Delta in the past. Did a good job.
This is my birthday present from my wife... I'm a lucky guy

I just got a new John Deere box and I really like it. I got the Chest style because you can put more/heavier stuff in it unlike the rail style. I've seen plenty of bed rails rip/ter because of them. I had my box customized to fit round my stacks. I got pics in my gallery.

Thanks!

Actually I got a pretty good deal on. It had a couple of dents in the back of it, didn't matter cause I cut that section out, but the sticker price was $279.00 which is a pretty fair price anyways. I think I got the box for $220.00 + tax.

Let me tell you a little bit about crossover toolboxes for a Dodge. When I traded my chevy I removed my Delta Box that fit right to the outside of the bedcaps. Well I went to put it in my new Dodge and it barely went on the bedcaps, like less than half-ways. Dodge must be wider. Well as it turns out most boxes that are sold for full-size trucks are this narrower version and I didn't like the way this looks. I ended up going to AdvanceAuto and ordering a deflecta-shield Challenger crossover toolbox for a 99-up ford superduty. They make this box a little longer for the fords and it fit like a glove on the Dodge...it comes right out to the edge of the bedcaps. Note: this isn't a cheapy box, it is an upper-end box. SSL

Weatherguard for me...huge ( and $500)! I got a double door one from Mopar with the truck, never installed and will sell it to anyone...mopar logos and all.....otherwise it will be a seat/toybox on the deck this summer.

i've been looking as well.tried the kobalt but looked terrible.about 5 inches gap on each side inside and the top barely reached across the bed rails.going to try a delta pro.weatherguard is probably one of the best but they are pretty proud of them---around 550.00+

Pro Tech - - size large. S/S hinges and hardware, great seal, comes with a sliding tray (also s/s). The last box you will ever have to buy.

Thats the one I have and love it. I had to get the X-large one for a 99-up Superduty though, because the regular Full-size box was not long enough to cover the tops of the box-side....X-large fit perfect.

That's the exact one I ordered! I was kinda mad that it said it was for Superduty's only when after I measured my Ram, I knew it would fit perfectly. I didn't want to go with a smaller one and have a large space between the bedrail and the toolbox. Can't wait till it gets here. It is my birthday gift from my lovely wife...
