Do bigger injectors make you run more egts????
Will a bigger injector make your egts go up?? I was looking at some 90 hp for my 05. BUt i can't have the egts any higher. I'm really trying to cool them off some.
i figured there might be a point were there just small enuff and that fuel does cool some that they mite run the same egts or just a tad cooler. Just wishful thinking i guess. Is anyone running the 50 or 90hp what kind of egt climb am i looking at??
Like anything else its a balance of fuel and air that drive EGT's. Too much injector with too little fuel system mods and turbo and it will get hot.
About 50 HP injectors are all you can use without doing some upgrades to the fuel delivery system. Even then if you use a prgrammer that is too aggressive even they will get too hot for the setup.
The 50 HP injectors with a little more timing, TQ management removal will work pretty well with a stock turbo and fuel system. It will get hot if you push it all the way to redline but if your looking for more power on the ground it works great under 2500 rpms and you cna keep EGT's in check.

I was thinking about injectors, have done a ton of post reading, I think I'm going to go with 50's and not push it due to egt's. Most who are looking for a little more than stock seem to have installed 50's. Those looking for a little more who went to the 90's have also had some issues with EGT's.
Granted, if you have a programmer that you can tune your torque some it will be better, but I think 50's are a pretty safe bet.

Well that solved that no injectors for me lol. If you still hitting that high and have a aftermarket turbo then that just not for me. I drive and use my truck for more then just a race or what not i pull and sometimes i pull alot of weight. So i guess injectors aren't guna be to friendly for all that.

If your talking about my scenario of coarse I don't run that all the time, its all adjustable, you need to tune down. I tow all the time with respectable EGT's.

well i'm trying to make efficent power that dosen't take a way milage or reliabilty and that i can use to tow still. I'm only going to run the bully dog also. I want no part of any kind of stack been there done that and its just not the power i'm looking for.
The combo I have in my sig is used to haul very heavy loads, about 37k pounds lol. Pulls absolutely amazing! Ohh I also have a 60hp box from quad on it too lol. Fun and nice for every day, but most the time it pulls, and its a pleasure now! I keep up with everyone else and pass them no prob. The turbo helps keep the egts in check. I'd say stick with gettin the 50s.
