more noise with bigger injectors?

I installed some new era 435s and they run excellent, but it sounds almost like I have an exhaust leak now at low rpms while cruising. is this normal? sounds maybe like I have a hole in one port of the exhaust manifold or something like that.

Is it ticking? Sounds like maybe an injector problem.

Not familiar with those injectors , what I recomend before installing , is popit test them 1st , to see that they are opening at close to the same pressure and also to verify that the spray pattern is good .
Either of those can cause noise & ruff running issues .
Use a stethoscope to see if you can track down the noise to a cylinder , also cracking injectors to see when the noise changes , then pull that one & check for spray pattern .

see I think the injectors are fine because it runs like a raped ape, and idle sounds the same. its when I am just cruising at a medium rpm that it sounds like an exhaust leak. it doesn't sound like a tick.

possible that the exhaust started leaking at the same time of the install, have you looked at the exhaust? if it is leaking you should be able to see small soot deposits sround the leak, possible be able to feel the exhaust blowing out even if you can hear it.

If no stethoscope , use a hose , one end to ear , other moving around till sound gets loader , to pin point leak .

I checked for exhaust leaks and didn't find any. I also did the valves and that didn't change anything. If the timing slipped would it sound different like that?

do I need to turn back the AFC wheel some?

the only thing I have done other than install the injectors is open the valve that goes to my wastegate so that it will work again. any ideas?
