Do bigger injectors lower rail pressure?
I don't think you'd see the pressure drop you are after with bigger injectors. The high pressure pump will compensate for any difference in fuel flow through the injectors.
I think so anyways...

the only way you will get a lower rail press. is if you have a leaking injector connector tube or a high press. pump , low pressure pump or lift pump failure, and fuel starvation problem , the relief valve in the CR rail is 1600 bar press. relief and the high press. pump can reach that no problem , we also have a test capability to check that with insite program. without causing damage to the press. relief valve .
Well, tonight I got on a empty straight stretch of highway and hammered it to the floor. Hit 28,3xx psi according to the outlook
The truck still runs good though, so it looks like i am lucky so far.
And as far as the clutch, its just about fried
My thinking on bigger injectors lowering rail pressure was kinda like water pressure coming out of a garden hose. The smaller the opeing at the end of the hose, the higher the pressure but Realsquash made a good point that the high pressure pump will make up for the lower fuel flow.
I guess there is only one way to find out and that is to get some injectors. I really would like to get some EDM's but unless I can get some soon I will probably just get the DD2's. Are you listening Mr Don?

On the outlook if you have a another box stacked with the popwerpup, you are supposed to choose 03-05 D wM (dodge with module?) but if you want max power than you just select 98.5-05 D O (dodge other)
Bosch claims that the rail will handle 29k all day long, and the valve pops at 31k. I just had the CP3 replaced due to a high pressure regulator failure, it was creating a wicked amount of rail pressure, the bypass valve on the rail actually had stress cracks. I was tickled to death when I heard the Outlook actually gave rail pressures, hopefully I can talk the ol' lady into getting me one for Christmas...
