Do bigger injectors lower rail pressure?

Everytime i hammer my truck I see the rail pressure go over 27000 and I pray that the safety valve on the rail doesn't blow.

Would bigger injectors lower the rail pressure? If so, which would do a better job, extrude honed or EDM's?

Thanks
Dave

Yes, they lower the pressure. Depending on how large they are.

Yeah, how are you measuring rail pressure?

The bullydog outlook monitor displays rail pressure, that's what I'm assuming they are using...

I am pretty sure 23,200 is max STOCK rail pressure (1600 bar).

As far as max rail pressure before the safety valve blows, I have always read it to be 27000-29000 psi. I am pretty sure back in late 02-03 when dodge was making a big deal about the commin rail setup, bosch said they designed the system to be able to sustain 27000 psi, but after that the safety valve will open.

BTW I am using the bullydog outlook to monitor rail pressure

powerpup: extreme
edge ez 5 (equal to 6 on old EZ)

With the powerpup I think you can also choose to load it as if you have another box stacked with it, however I loaded it as no other box stacked to squeeze out a few more ponies

in other words I have them both maxed out

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if your at something closer to 28K+ since the EZ is fibbing to the computer.

I wonder if the Outlook takes the rail pressure increase out of the pup when you set it up for "stacked"?
