CQ, Yep, 26.8kpsi at 60% TPS is alot of flow. But you have a great set of twins...and I bet you still haze most of the time when fueling is turned up a bit....especially with Smarty....

If I thought I could get away with the 3.3's with just a Stage 2 CP3 and a 71/62/14 I would....but I think a set of small Flux 2's will be safer. Flux 3.3's tend to be a little hard on Trannies, eh! Kerry

I had no real smoke issues with the B1/B1 set up. I would imagine the new twins will be a little smokier.

Rail pressure was a big problem for me. I would see 15k on hard pulls. Far from 23k+.

Yep Im having a little issue with a constant haze since the new twins. The little twins were so quick to spool it wasnt an issue. Now dont get me wrong these bigger twins are nuts, but I need to find the right tune or maybe face facts and get a little smaller sticks for everyday use.
Mind you if I were out in the country where I would rather be I wouldnt care, but being in Northern Va its only a matter of time before the Law, or a loudmouth with a Hybrid causes me problems.

Or maybe I will do away with my stacks and do 6" turn downs hidden under the truck, that way they just think its broken .

I will do a write up and post some pics this weekend. To my suprise they are getting better evey day, and seem to be spooling faster with every drive. Only issue is the haze but I need to do some tuning and mess around a bit. Also I dont know how people get the S480 to spool when mine lights I am breaking not only the speed limit but the sound barrier.

I need to do some tuning and testing, may have to turn Mr Smarty off, get smaller sticks, or maybe just learn how to drive it . I cant have a constant haze under any throttle in my area, but Im sure I will figure something out.

Odd, because you will need a lot of fuel to spin that S480. Seems taking fuel away will be counter productive. What exhaust housing are you running on the bottom?

True, as stated I think its I need some drive time and run Beta vrs non Beta and timing vrs no timing. Also think it has to do with initial take off, as you say I think I need to stab it a little harder or get some more fuel to get the big dog to help out.

But 3/4 throttle or matt it and I couldnt tell you whats flying out of the stacks cause Im too busy holding on.

Its sad to say but Im not sure, I know it has an 80mm compressor housing but no clue on exhaust.

I have seen similar problems so just thinking it through for you... AND BY NO MEANS AM I THE TURBO EXPERT! Just relating some personal experiences. Anyway, if you want, i'll post in the Twins Club so we are not hijacking this thread any further.

So at the end of the day what dou ya say about the stack? My new primary is working pretty darn good as it is. EGTS are amazingly low, I have a light haze, no signs of fuel shortage.
I guess I could just add a box for the dyno and then de-tune for the street.
The way she's running is too good to bugger with.

I'd be tempted to check out an MP-8...or another pressure box....The Beta Smarties are spooling monsters but I don't know if the final versions will be so aggressive. Where bouts are you in little old Canada? Kerry

I'm out west in BC, the Okanagan where the bikini contests are.

So are you thinking the twin pumps will require pressure?

Last night I went for a good jolt. With the Smarty on beta 4.4 #7 @ WOT 3000rpm my EGTS were 1100f, do I need more fuel?
The box of choice appears to be the TST. If I move forward should I scoop one of those.

Well, A tst will either make more power or not work at all with you setup...I'd try a pressure box first as it will get more fuel in there without the problem of too much duration....Too much duration at too little rail pressure is melted pistons. Are you measuring pre turbo....as that is way cool. If you can keep it below 1300 and making good power then you are great....I'm from the east coast so I'm glad we don't have bikini contests here.....its bad enough seeing these chix in tightpants. ks

Kerri I just returned from a big feast. Put 500km on the truck and everything went A-OK.
Ran the Smarty beta 4.4 on 3 and 7. Like I said my pre-turbo temps are real cool. I'm pressed to see 1150 so far. I have two auto meter pyro's so I'm pretty confident its accurate.

My plan is to run on a dyno late next week once I get the second pump in.

So you fugure it would be best to steer away from a duration box hey. Well I trust you have been down this road and for that I'm greatful there are guys like you helping out me.
