Did Some BOMB'ing - thanks to several members!
Well, I have been planning on getting this truck up into the 550+ rwhp territory and in to the 13's at the strip, yet keep it driveable.
This past couple of weeks, I got a huge part of the work done with a lot of help. Being an engineer though, the only regret is doing so much at one time and not being able to necessarily discern between the individual impacts of the changes.
Fluidampr, intercooler, FASS, Helix 2 cam and springs, head studs, EZ, and DTT tranny. Yup, that was quite a week or so!
Oh well, I think I can live with it!
The one thing that really blew me away was what this truck can do in park. Without the EZ, but with everything else, I can not only light the turbo but nail 18 psi in the driveway!
Overall, mileage is up 2 mpg, and temps are generally down 100*, once again without the EZ.
The other thing that just flat rocks is the tranny! This is the first auto that I have ever owned after a few decades on the planet, and I knew that I was going to be upgrading it. Hands down my experience with DTT in the pre-build, install, and present couldn't be better. I went through a lot of research on this decision, and am more than satisfied with it. (No need to start a debate, but I did want to report in with satisfied results.)
I owe a lot of thanks to people on the board who listened to my questions and spent time answering them. I also wanted to thank the following for help during the purchase and installation process:
Joefarmer
Fuel4me
Don~ and F1 Diesel
Jetpilot and Performance Diesel Warehouse
Olee Poole and Power by Poole
Shanti and the DTT crew
Jack Williams
Geno's Garage
Scott at Mass Diesel
(and with a big thanks to the other Ohio dudes: Lyn, Chris, Caleb, Joe, Corey, Herman, and others I am sure!!)
I am not done yet, but have reached a good hold for now. More to follow for sure! Let's see, fuel + air = power. More, yes, more to follow.
Thanks all, out for now!
Matt

You let Clint help...Uh Oh!!

I was hoping to be able to come up and give a hand, but I ended up in Fort Wayne
Hope you like it Matt,
Chris
BTW, clutch is still doing great. Need a pilot bearing though

Yup, it's fun so far! Course, can't wait till the twins and TST get thrown into the mix as well.
Chris - be nice to that clutch will ya! HA! Fort Wayne, huh? Went up that way a week after the Ohio trip to get the tranny installed. We had fun, and I learned a lot.
