Lookin at getting another programmer. I've had a smarty but have heard that the predators work better on the 03 and 04's. I have the 305hp motor. What do you all think?? Thanks Daniel.

 

I love mine, but I wish it controlled torque management. Good horsepower, and contrary to what you'll read on here, it doesn't run hot. The twins might help though. I say go for it. They're cheap.

 

I really like mine too, it fuels hard and has quite a few features also. I would like to try the smarty sometime for a comparison though.

 

How is the smoke? With my smarty had a small puff on take off and that was it. Which I liked, not a big fan of smoke.

 

It smokes quite a bit, but it is easy to control. Really big puff on take off and if you lug it, but when the boost comes up it cleans up fair well.

 

I notice u have urs on extreme. How was it on the origanal settings?

 

Get it! You won't regret buying one!!! Just get the free custom tunes while your at it also. Best bargain in the industry if you ask me. I'm thankful they finally do a top speed adjustment now.

 

The extreme setting is one of the original, I think that is what I have mine on right now. I used the puff tunes this summer for sled pulls and when I'm not driving all over with the truck. I don't know if I ever used the towing or performance setting to tell you the truth.

 

Well I think I'll give one a shot. I can always sell it and get another smarty.

I really like mine. Perf/Econ/100hp is perfect for towing and it does some tq. reduction under about 1500 so I don't slip the clutch and top end is very strong. I got the 9 pin cable and 120vac power transformer so I can download custom tunes. I've checked my 03 and my wifes G35 with a stopwatch and a couple of the custom tunes will make my 03 accelerate faster than the G35. I got the Puck to play with but I don't stack it anymore - the Pred is all that's needed. Craig

 

man i think you would be making a mistake. i had the predator with the rkl tunes and the pressure box they offer. it doesn't come close to my smarty with the older beta software by itself. just my 2cents

 

what all does the predator adjust? Does it adjust rail pressure or does it run stock pressure and what about boost fooling??
