I am going to purchase one of these. I need some advice on which one would be best for me. I have an 03 S.O. How bad are these programmers on egt's? What kind of power do they make in the lower rpm's. Some of you guys that are running these please help me out. Any tips would be great.

i have the bdpp on a 05 dodge and i love it it makes great power and it smokes a decent amount i run mine on performace all the time have not tried extreme no tranny mods yet

Can't comment on the Diablo predator but I do have a Power Pup on my 2003 HO. I really like it. Usually run it on the "performance" setting. It has nice power and smoke if I want it. I have tried the "extreme" setting a few times and all I got to say is WOW but it will slip my stock clutch if I push it hard. Haven't had any issues with the Power Pup except for 1 code that has been there since the day I downloaded it. Truck runs real good plus helped with the fuel milege a little.

Power Pup on Performance mode is awesome.

22mpg @ 70mph with 295/70/17 tires.

 

CAn not comment on the Predator. But my frined loaned me his Power Pup, and COOL!!!!! I ran it on Performance, not the extreme setting. Real smooth power, no smoke..ran real strong. Very impressed, so much I am buying one for my truck.

I have the Predator ....... awesome throttle response , minimal smoke but it does have a few issues I am noticing on my 6 - speed . Raises the redline to 3650 I believe ,torque limiters reduced but it has a nasty habit of " hanging " when I take it up around 3000 or so . Has me a bit concerned and called them , still waiting for a " diesel engineer " to call me back !!!! Only prob with Bullydog is your stock program is GONE after you load it and other downloaders will not work with Bullydog's stock replacement program . Do your homework Grasshopper .......... there are many fine products out now .

 

I got the Predator today,but it wouldnt work in my truck. Talked to tech support and they sent an update via e-mail. Hooked my laptop up to the predator via a serial to usb cable and updated it. I had to power the Predator with the obd port since I didnt have a power supply for it. I put in the Performance tune. It works great and the customer support was a real plus.
