Alright I did the second update. It finally took on the second try. For some reason I got a error screen telling me at the very end it could not update the commander and then it locked up the computer. But all is good now. I will drive in the morning and see if this will fix the fuel pressure problem. Thanks Quad

Quad...when did this start to happen? Is this a "special" USB cable? I was one of the first Commander recepients and I didn't get a cable. If it connects where I think it will, it looked like a standard USB 1.1 or 2.0 might hook up. Not the case after taking it to the truck. I have EGT and FP problems and need to get this update loaded. You have a PM over on CF about this. (Double J)

Will do. No where in the update manual does it mention this or any other cable.

Wow, I missed a thread that I could use. I'm going to try to find a cable that will connect with what I have here.

Double J, that is assuming you have a USB port on your Commander. If not you have one of the Beta units like I had at first.

Doh! No USB port on mine. That would explain the confusion I've had on how exactley updates were supposed to be performed. The unit was already sent in once and nothing was mentioned about it being a beta unit. I think I deserve a "production" Commander with the journey I've had with this thing.

Well I take back my words. After talking to Quad tech it turns out I was sent a new unit afterall, to include USB port. I was under the impression my Commander was awaitng parts and that's what took so long to get it back.

I loaded the update so hopefully that will correct the erratic EGT and FP readings...luckily I had a USB cable from a camcorder that actually fits the Commander.

my first commander was replaced two weeks ago. your company sent me out a new one then. so, since mine is two weeks old- do i need the update?? my tranny temp runs on 104 too! still experiencing the other problem for the other post. every once in a while my coolant temp flashes on the whole screen. checked the connections- it is tight! thanks.

If you don't have a USB cord, its a standard Mini-USB cord,
Most electronics stores have them for under 10$
