I just did mine with the laptop and it was super easy. I am glad I did not have to use it on a desktop.

Updated successfully. Very easy. Thanks. Very pleased with results. Not that I had any prior complaints.

Just got through with mine and as everyone else stated it was quite easy. I will check everything out on the way into work in the morning and report back if I have any problems. Thanks again Quad, you guys are great!

What is the serial number of your Commander?

When was it purchased? If it is a Beta unit it might not have the proper USB software on it?

Fuel pressure is #1 on our list as well. So far it seems that the update fixes a large portion of the fuel pressure sending unit readings. It still seems that we have at least a couple still acting funky?

We have 2 sending units coming to us tomorrow that are acting funny and we are going to test them on 2 trucks tomorrow and see if we can narrow it down to a bad sensor, bad hardware or something else that is different?

One of the units is a complete unit with the harness, Commander and sensor so I fully plan to be able to duplicate the issue. If it is not fixed now it will definately be fixed ASAP.

Now the good news is that it appears all of the USB stuff and update software is working like it is supposed to and it is really easy to do the updates.

From here on out any updates and additional features can be added really easily.

I did my update this evening and it went smoothly. It appears the buttons work a bit better, but the 2nd button down is still a bear. I had to fiddle with it for several minutes before it would work. Is there anything I can do to the unit to try to resolve this? I really don't want to have to send it in. Thanks!

Funny, my buttons are worse. Or at least they didn't seem horrible before the update. Check your PM's Quad.

There was a point where we made a resistor change for the button circuitry a while back but, I did not think there were still any/many still out there.

The first thing you can do if you want is take the Commander apart and clean the bottom of the buttons with alcohol. That has worked for some people. You can also clean the pad on the board if you want.

The next thing I need is a serial number and a pround about purchase date to see if it is possible you guys still have the old hardware on the buttons.

If we deem you have a button issue that cannot be easily resolved we will just swap it out and you can send the old ones back in.

I went over the cleaning process and why it works a while back but, basically the bottom of the button has a carbon resisor on it and proper resistance is required to make a button push complete.

Now the majority seems to think the buttons are really good now after the update. I know on the one in my truck I can easily play with them while driving with just the end of my finger and my hands still on the wheel. They even seem almost too easy to push?

One way or another we can get the issue resolved. I am certain that the update will cure 99% of any of the button issues out there or it will make them better than they currently are even if there was not an issue.

Definitely not the case for me, I have to push hard. If I didn't have the mount now, I don't think I could get the buttons to work at all.

I figured you'd take care of everything. I wasn't worried. I sent you the info you requested.
