Sounds like time for a clutch.Be happy yours lasted as long as it did.I only have 18,000 miles and had to change my clutch.

should i try changing the fuel filter? or go to a 2 micron setup?

the truck feels like it has half the get up and go it used too.... and i know i smelt it slipping when i pulled a tractor last weekend but dont smell it when i daily drive

Well if you have smelled it that may be the culprit... However a fuel filter is a very quck, VERY EASY, and cheap thing to replace. If it fixes it, great! If not your good to go on the filter again until the next round and can look into the next possible cause.

So, even in 2nd, and 3rd gear it feels gutless?

okay i may try that. and in 2nd 3rd and 4th i can feel some pull but not like it used to be with same combo and in 5th and 6th its gutless

The higher the gear the harder it is on the clutch.Mine started slipping in 6th and got worse from there.

could you smell it daily driving when it was only slipping in 6th?

If you feel it slipping at all I'd turn things down a little, you don't want to be doing that everyday or it will be time for a new clutch before you know it.
