You will hear differant methods from differant people.

I dont have much stop and go traffic around me so I waited about 700 miles before I really got on it.

If you go over 200 it wont hurt anything.

For what a new clutch costs I would just play it safe and run AT LEAST 200 before dumpin the power to it, maybe 500 or so.

This is just my opinion though.

i agree, 500. there should be instructions with the clutch that tell you the driving style and recommended mileage for break in, and what to do if it slips.

and play around ,why would mine go out so fast ? i do tow but it is only every once in a while . and how long should i wait to get into mine(turn it up i mean) ?

White, DS changed your clutch? Obviously they didn't see your Edge did they?
I'd thing when doing a clutch at 10,000 miles they'd be awful suspicious..?

If you can control your right foot.

I would turn it down, maybe to 3, for the break in just incase you romp on it forgetting about the new clutch.

I wouldn't suggest that.
Just run in stock for 500 miles or so. I know, it sucks, but it' only for 500 miles.

I installed a new Zoom zvt stage 2 cluch in my truck last night and I'm sitting here read the instructions and it says for break in "Drive until vehicle reaches normal oprating temp cycling through all gears. Let vehicle cool down and drive a second time. The cluch should be burnished in and ready for a torque capicty field test. Drive up a hill in the highest gear the engine will allow with out bogging down and fully depress the accelerator. This puts maximum strain on the cluch would reveal any problem with it's holding power. Wach the tach to check for slippage."

I was told to break mine in for 700 miles but was also told to slip it once or twice by just rolling into the throttle in 6th gear with a little power then baking out this will help to seat the clutch disc to the flywheel. I did that with my clutch and havent had any problems since.
