Are you talking of when you lock the doors with the key and it makes the churpy noise? Mine does that and it bugs me. Good thread, I'm watching.
Thanx.

Yes chirps every time I lock the truck. I just did a search on horn chirp, there should be a yellow addendum in your owners manual saying how to disable it. I have 2 but nowing about killing the chirp. Guess I will have to go to the dealership have them do it.

I haven't tried it myself yet but, I've read it takes doing it several times to work. Maybe it's one of those things were the third time is a charm.

If all else fails, you can have the dealer do it for you

I got an 06 mega cab about a month ago and I hated that chirp as well. I did what the manual stated and it did not work. I actually had to put in different combinations of button pushing to get what I wanted. It not only was the horn chirping feature that I wanted to change but I wanted to unlock all the doors at the same time. I wish I could rememeber what conbination of buttons I hit, but I can't, sorry. If there is anything else I can help you with, let me know. Good Luck!

I tried every combination I could, I just finally thru in the towel. I did have no problems first try with enabling the all unlock with one push of the unlock button and seat belt chime off. I guess I am heading to the dealer.
Thanks

I'll get my manual and check it out.

ok here it is:
1) enter vehicle, close doors, insert key and turn to on position but don't start.
2) press the lock button and hold for at least 4 seconds not more than ten seconds. while still holding lock button, press the unlock button. you should hear a single chime which tells you you have changed the programming.
that's it. test it and see if it works!

It also states to buckle the seatbelt before pressing any of the fob buttons. It says that it takes any other bells or alarms out of the picture. Tried it on my '03 and worked first time.
