How do I turn off the horn chirp feature when locking the doors with the key fob in an ‘05?

I don’t have the manual, however I know you stand on your head, whistle Dixie, press the lock button twice and tug on you left ear, or something?

 

You can't whistle Dixie as you ned to have your tongue stuck in the corner of you mouth, and the sun spots need to be lined up.

I would have to dig up my manual for this, I will see if I can find it after dinner.

 

It cant be done in my 07 I followed all the instructions in the manual still got the chirp

 

I would say check the manual. If what it says doesn't work, then take it to the dealer and see if they will do it for you.

 

My '07 had to be disabled by the dealer, following the owner's manual directions dozens of times did nothing..

 

From the Owners Manual

1. Enter truck, close all doors
2. Fasten seatbelt
3. Insert key into ignition
4. Turn to ON position (don't start)
5. Press and hold the LOCK button on the FOB
6. Continue to hold the LOCk button, wait at least 4 seconds but not more the 10 seconds, then press and hold the UNLOCK button
7. When a single chime is heard, release both buttons.
8. Turn off ignition, remove key, wait 60 seconds.
9. Test FOB
