Question Camshaft

Ok i need to know what cam to run for pulling power.I will be on the road alot just looking for all i can get out of it.Can i run it with a BDDL or not never run a cam in a diesel before but theres allways a first.THANKs.

Yes you can but a cam is not a hp adder.

A cam should help you with mileage, spool up and egt's.
It will also broaden your power band so it should help out with towing.

I favor the F1 Helix 2.

lifters

since were talken about cams...After you pull the push rods out can you pull the lifters out with a magnet?

No. To remove the tappets you must have a tray in the cam journal to catch them.

Wooden dowel rods rubber banded together at the tops in pairs.

do the wooden dowls keep just enough pressure on the side of the lifters so they dont drop in?

or you could flip the truck upside down. There are always other options!
