Cometic, not cosmetic, haha.....no, really.....they are supposed to be the best gasket sets out there and I just wanted to give them a try

is that modded fuel canister that goes in the tank something that only the 03-05s need? Do they make them for the 06 and up 5.9L? It looks like a slick setup for sure.

I messed around in the garage today and installed the Mag-Hytec rear 11.50 diff cover.
It took 7 full quarts and was fully, according to the dipstick. Some say they have 7.5 quarts, so I will drive the truck around tomorrow and re-check the fluid level.
The stock cover holds roughly 4 quarts.
The dipstick is really great to have, along with the drain plug. This cover is well worth the money.
I am going to get a MH and change the front axle fluid out shortly.

Well I initially thought I wanted an HTT 62/65/13ss, but really did not want to spend $1600 on my first turbo upgrade
I also was considering an HE351 swap, but was not sure I would be completely satisfied with it, since it is only +6/2/0 larger than my stock HE341
I just bought a BD Super B Single (S300), which is 57/65/14 and it uses an extended fin tip compressor wheel that conventional turbos sizes do not have
I was told that a smaller wheel (using an extended tip compressor wheel) spinning faster will move more air than a larger wheel spinning slower (with a conventional compressor wheel) but without the lag.
So the Super B Single was bought today, along with a front Mag Hytech diff cover.
I am also going to buy an Arson II or Arson III kit......
Hopefully, the Super B turbo and ATS Pulse Flow manifold installation will go somewhat smoothly......

The high temp ceramic finish on the ATS exhaust manifold really made it look new again......I was told it is good for 2100 degrees

Well I have not worked in my truck in a few weeks, just been too busy with working all the available OT at work.....I have been buying more parts though!
Over the course of the next two weeks, I will be installing the following items:
-Front MH Diff Cover, filled with Amsoil Severe Gear 75W-90
-CFM+ Intake Manifold
-ATS Pulse Flow Exhaust Manifold
-BD Super B Single
-Cometic Manifold & Flange Gaskets
I already have an AFE Bladerunner on my truck, and have been very pleased with it.....however, I felt there was still room for improvement
The CFM is made of the high-temp composite material that transfers heat 900 times slower than cast aluminum. I believe the AFE is made from cast, so I might be able to pick up a tad more usable power, with the CFM.
The CFM is rated to flow 40% more air than the stock unit also.....plus, the results here are very convincing that the CFM unit does work, and works well:

AFE:
1900 RPMs: 38 HP and 106 TQ
2150 RPMs: 4 HP and 10 TQ
CFM:
1900 RPMs: 57 HP and 159 TQ
2150 RPMs: 23 HP and 57 TQ
It "seems" like I should gain 29 HP/53 TQ at 1900 RPMs and 19 HP/47 TQ at 2150 RPMs, over the AFE unit.......
I am also ditching the dual Skyjacker front steering damper/stabilizer system in favor of a high end, single unit and utilizes the stock mounting location/holes.
Lastly, I think I will be purchasing an Arson II kit and calling the performance mods done for the summer time

Well I took the AFE Bladerunner off and installed a glossy black CFM+
The Bladerunner seemed alot easier to install, just because I had issues getting to one of the nuts on the outer, backside of the CFM unit.
The CFM unit is very lightweight, and I really do not have to worry about heat soak now.....plus there are no internal baffles, just plenty of room for free flowing air
