Well I was going to have a local shop install the AD150, a new modified fuel cannister, and the Glacier eliminator bracket.
While I can afford to pay them for the install, my brother in-law volunteered to help me out.......so I am going to do the install myself, with his help.
Plus, I will save a few hundred, to help save for a new turbo......
I have a fully modified, drop-in cannister:

So, with this cannister, install is cake! I DO NOT have to cut, splice, or do anything with the fuel filler neck.
I can drop the tank and NOT have to worry about removing the large bed.
Additionally, I DO NOT have to measure, cut, or worry about the draw straw length.
Lastly, I DO NOT have to pop a hole in the fuel tank!
I simply remove the stock cannister and drop in the replacement cannister. How much more easy can that be?
The kits can be purchased for you to modify on your stock cannister or you can get the whole, entire cannister.........like I did.
I am really hoping the weather will break and I will be able to install everything within the next 2 weeks.......

If anyone is interested in the modified cannisters or the parts to make you own, shoot me a PM.
I am not advertising or soliciting, but I will give you the contact info the the person who can supply with you the needed parts/items.
The truck is currently all apart and the Air Dog 150, Glacier Eliminator Bracket, and the modified HDR Diesel cannister are being installed.
I am doing the install by myself, so this has been a 3 day project......should be all done and back up running this evening!
Install pics to follow!

I will be saving up for a new turbo in a few months.
I do not want twins, just a better performing turbo that will drop right in. I also just bought an ATS 2pc Pulse Flow exhaust manifold, that will be used/installed at the same time I put a new turbo in the truck.
I have seen that some buy an 04.5-07 turbo and see very nice performance increases. However, I really do not want to mess with the 04.5 and newer elbow, since my 5" turbo back exhaust is welded up to the stock elbow and would rather leave it in place.
I will not be sled pulling or doing anything competition related. I would like to keep the overall 'feel' of the stock turbo, but be able to flow more with more PSI.
With my stock turbo, I can hit 35-37 PSI, with the adjustable boost elbow. At about 26 PSI and higher, the noise of the turbo really changes tone and sounds like it is way out of it efficiency range.
My major concerns are (not in any special order):
-Spooling/Lag time
-EGTs
-Being 110% bolt-on
Stock HE3541
54/58/9
04.5-07 HE351:
60/60/9
BD Super Single:
57/65/14
BD Super Special:
64/71/14
HTT:
62/65/13
Swapping in an HE351 would be very easy and affordable, since I can find no/low mileage units for $400.
However,
Since I will be using an ATS 2pc Pulse Flow....I think the additional money spent on an aftermarket turbo might be worthwile.
So, what should I look for?? THANKS!

I finally got the fuel system mods done.
I installed an Air Dog 150, Glacier Fuel Cannister Eliminator Bracket, and the modified HDR Diesel fuel cannister.
I so happy I went with the HDR Diesel cannister, because it made the install alot easier compared to having to install a draw straw or even modify my stock fuel cannister.
I drove it around for a 15 miles, to make sure there were not any leaks or malfuctions. The Air Dog pump can be heard, but it not loud at all. At idle when the motor is running, I cant heard it. I only hear it when it is priming the system.
I can honestly say that the truck feels stronger, especially when going from a dead stop or when mashing down on the pedal at about 30 MPH, it just pulls alot smoother and faster.....it is like the stock pump just could not keep up and the fuel flow is now readily available.

Left over and stock parts:
I now have a few leftover electrical connections just hanging around, from the cannister. Can I just put some dielectric grease over the connectors and then seeal them up inside a ziploc baggy?

After driving my truck today, I think the AD 150 was one of my best mods that I have done to the truck.
I am just so pleased with how the truck runs, idles, and performs.....it is such a different truck!
A+

I picked up 8 quarts of Amsoil 75W-90 Severe Gear diff fluid, to be used with the rear MH diff cover.....should be on this week...pics to follow!
I also bought a new, front license plate:
The powdercoating shop called and the ATS Pulse Flow is done getting covered in silver high temp ceramic......pics to follow!
I also should have an HTT 62/65/13ss turbo here within 4 weeks.....gotta work some OT!

Here are some pics of the ATS Pulse Flow exhaust manifold, that was covered in a silver, color high temp ceramic finish:
The work was done by Coating Specialties, in South Chicago Heights, IL. I have had quite a few parts powdercoated here, and it holds up great.

I was just $90.00, which included the cost of bead blasting it before it was coated.
Do I need to buy new manifold mounting bolts or should I just reuse the stock bolts/hardware?
