Which Box?
I'm still kinda new and I know this has probably been beat to death so let me kick the dead horse again. I have a 04.5 with the Cummins 600/auto. I plan on adding some sort of better filtering system, and I believe my 4" exhaust is enough and guages are on the way. So what box to buy? I really don't want extreme power or the potential of it. (Would be to tempting) my goal is really some more power off the line, better mpg if possible,I don't tow a whole lot but when I do I'd like some ooomph.
My choices are limited because of the 600. So here is my list, let me know what you think.
1) TSTCR
2) Van Aaken L1 or 2
3) Volumizer
4) Banks Six Gun
5) Predator?
If missed any let me know, Thanks in advance.

I hear the Edge EZ is a good one for power and an improvement in mpg by ~2mpg at setting #3. That is the box I will be getting. I'm not sure if they have a box for the 600 yet.

I understand Rip sells them at a good price:

I would suggest van aken's pressure box or banks six gun for mild power and reliability. You are not going to get much more than a mile per gallon gain no matter what box you get. I have the tst pmcr, it could be smoother and more refined in the fueling from my standpoint. I stay out of it and let boost build slower, for I feel the boost pressure spike and fuel dumped so suddenly makes things surge and create uneccesary stress that really does not accomplish nothing that slower smoother power would do just as good. This is just my opinion, so take it at that. I am anxious to see the edge juice come out and compare the smoothness of its program. The pmcr is the only box I have ever had and have no complaints, but would change some things if I were building a box to suit myself. Just like I would change the seats back to 2nd gen style. I am particular so I critique things too much. The van aken 65 hp box would be my first choice for you and banks six gun w/o speed loader the 2nd choice. From ther e the volumizer then pmcr for extreme more power than you can use type of box.
Thanks everyone, I have found out though that there is no 6 gun for the 600 and the high egt's on the van Aaken kinda scare me. I've kinda narrowed it down to the Predator if anyone has experience with this box I'd appreciate thier input I'm looking at the stage 2.

If I recall the speed loader just let's rail pressure increase to 27,000 psi, which gains an extra 25 hp. I don't think these trucks can handle over 80-90 hp over stock and perform daily without egt and tranny issues if using it for any kind of work. Even empty it seems 90 hp is right at the edge of things. I think 29-32 max boost for the turbo and 1250 egt at 90 hp 175-200 tq is working stuff plenty hard for a stock drivetrain with no mods. I do not have the six gun, but researched these boxes for 8 months before I made a choice. Running rail pressure close the the max will put you into high risk for failure, I have seen it many times in the fords, some wait 20,000 some 5,000 miles, usually just blow a line that can be replaced, but to cause problems, something is not right. I am not saying I am right, but have seen ill effects of pushing stock parameters. Some parts will take it for sure, but the closer to the max rate of a design puts one at a greater risk for problems.
WWW.Quadzillapower.com is another box for 04.5 600 HO 50-100HP seting. The 50HP runs verry good on my 600HO 04.5 no problems with slippage.
