Boost issues

I noticed yesterday that the truck doesn't boost past 32psi any more.
When I installed the Quad Race box, it would hit over 40psi in all 3 setttings (60-100-130) but now seems limited at 32psi.

Before I call up Quad, I was wondering if there might be anything else I should check out?

thanks in advance.

If you haven't already do the obvious, intercooler leak, loose clamps, dirty air filter, etc. I might try disconnecting it completely and then reconnecting it. Does the power seem lower??

Maybe a leak in the gauge or connection? Thought I'd throw that out there too...

yeah, I *had* to do some testing this morning... and I found that actually it seems like the boost is coming on slower.
In 2nd gear, it won't get any higher than 32psi, but in 4th or 5th I can get it to 38psi (eventually).
So that tells me that the Quad box is still doin' its thing with the boost fooling. So, ya'll must be right and I probably have a leak somewheres...
I recently installed the Scotty 5 - so maybe I have not tightened a clamp enough? would an air leak on the intake side cause a boost decrease? or if the filter was over-oiled, would it cause enough restriction to affect boost up speed?

I don't have Scotty intake experience, but I thought they were dry filters. I doubt that a leak on the intake side of the turbo would cause that. Just let in dirty air. Did the lower boost spool and max psi concide with the Scotty intake install???

The early 05's have plastic intercooler ends, take a good look at these areas for a blown seal.

I took a look under the hood, and I didn't see anything obvious like a slit in a hose or anything like that.
What would be the best way to find a boost leak?
thanks.

I'd try some liquid soap (dishwashing) and see if it bubbles. That's what I have used in the past to find leaks. I'm sure the same principle would apply here.

thanks for the suggestion, I'll try that this weekend, if I can find a few minutes. I have to tow the race car to the track this weekend (only about 65miles) so I hope everything will be ok.
The truck just feels like it's running out of steam on the top end. I honestly had been driving pretty conservatively, so I don't know exactly when it started losing power. So now I am left with three possiblities:

1- I am leaking boost somewhere.
2- my air filter is way over-oiled and being too restricitve (unlikely)
3- I am not getting enough fuel in

about #3: when I first put on the box, the truck had about 4000 miles. so now, 2000 miles later, I feel a noticeable performance drop. I wonder if my fuel pump just can't supply all that fuel and is on its way out, or if I have somehow damaged my injectors...

The most frustrating thing is to not be able to diagnose it effectively. I am still fairly new to diesels, even though i have plenty of experience with gassers. Grrr.
