My truck is being strange , some days when brake boosting for launching in 4x4 all i can get is 11 to 13 lbs boost, next time when i brake boost i can get it up to 18 to 25. Any suggestions as to why there is such a difference. I have lots of smoke when doing this but once i get moving the smoke clears right up and i get 51 lbs boost all the way down the 1/4

 

you checked for boost leaks?

 

could it be something to do with torque management???

 

I couldnt find any boost leaks not to say there isnt any but once moving she goes to full boost instantly, 51 lbs. I have been wondering if it has something to do with the torque management, but why such a big difference from each time i do brake boosting.

 

Yeah, it's TM messing with you. Sometimes you can push past the TM (your 18-25psi). Either go with a different programmer (triple dog or smarty), or get a BD RAD box. The triple dog and RAD box will get rid of the speed limiter and TM.


If he is making 51 lbs of boost after he leaves the line, he doesn't have that big of a leak.
