boost guage with alarm?

Anyone know of a boost guage with alarm that is either plastic or stainless? I have a small cummins diesel in my boat and they have been known to break pistons from over boosting caused by a stuck wastegate. I would like to find a boost guage with an alarm I could run in an open marine (salt) environment. I know it isn't a dodge question but it does get pulled by one! Does that count?? Thanks for any suggestions, Arlon.

westach has some pressure gauges with built in alarms... you could just put a hobbs switch and a buzzer wired through it set to the alarm boost level... you can get fixed pressure switches, adjustable ones, NO or NC ones... a separate gauge and a hobbs switch with buzzer would probably be cheaper than a gauge that has everything all in one...

Thanks for the idea. I found these SPA dual guage assemplies that are just the "cat's meow" but run about $400 for the combo boost/egt. I like the look of the digital combos. boost/egt engine/oil temps intercooler temp/boost, etc. I think I'll start saving my pennies. All have setable alarms too...

The Odyssey Series II gauges by Dakota Digital are pretty nice. http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...rod/prd334.htm
Their gauges have a max or minimum setting and will flash when that setting is exceeded. They have many models and colors to choose from, just have to look through their site. I use their fuel pressure gauge and really like it. Their combo digital gauges with two readings run about $300.

that is good to hear... i am wanting to start monitoring fuel lift pump psi, oil temp, water temp [don't trust oem gauge], and oil psi [my crappy gauge's sending unit has started to leak on me ] and for the 4 gauges and necessary sending units, is still like $100 cheaper than 2x spa press/temp gauges... and the readout on the dakota's is nicer with the VFD/led's lettering vs the old looking LCD on the spa's... now if spa would go to the same type of display as the dakota's they would be super sweet [but probably cost even more than now ]
