Boost Guage Install location

I just bought a boost gauge, does anyone know where a good spot to tap into the intake is? The kit came with adapters for intake manifold plugs and such. Do I have to drill? Any help would be nice.

92' 350 Dually crew cab

Hi,
There is a plug on the drivers side of the head, just back from the boost outlet for the injection pump. Take the plug out and put your fitting in. Simple as that.

Nascar Mark is right as usual. There is a small pipe plug just about right under the air horn for the Intercooler. Put a little Teflon tape on the thread of your fitting and don't overtighten it, or the compression fitting for your boost hose. It will crush easy and give you inaccurate readings.

Then when you hook uo your gauge lights, just tap into the fuse panel where the gauges fuse it. Use a test light and find the wire that dims when you turn the headlight switch down.

Bill

Soundfetish, how about posting some pics and info on your truck. Couple guys on here have some nice crew cab conversions. I will probably be shopping for on to convert this summer. Think a couple others are looking as well.

Thanks, Don
