boost guage

were is the best place to put the boost line on the motor of a 06 5.9 for boost guage? also what about the trans temp do i tap into the trans pan or do i have to take it off and have a fitting welded on to screw the sender into

You can get a boost bolt from Geno's. It replaces one of the manifold bolts with a hollow bolt and tapped end where you can access boost readings for you guage. Easiest way I know of...

A boost bolt is gonna be the easiest way to go for the boost gauge. As for the tranny temp, there are 3 ways you can go. You can drop the pan and put the sender there, you can use the test port on the side of the case, or, you can order a trans line from MassDiesel that has a T for the sender. I like the sender in the trans line myself because that should be the hottest point in the system and thats the number I want to see.

I tapped my intake horn and used a cooler line replacement from Diesel Manor for the above stated reason.

I suckered in and bought the boost bolt from Diesel Manor, and the transmission line from the same vendor. Both were extremely easy to install and had no problem. Now my biggest problem is tapping the exhaust manifold for the pyro . Something about the possibility of getting metal shavings in my turbo that scares me =/
